Mario Eduard Giovanelli (*January 20, 1956 in
Lucerne, Switzerland) is
a venture capital and leveraged buyout specialist, intensely engaged
and interested in the finding and implementation of
alternative new business ideas and projects,
especially in commercial solutions which pledge broad improvements for the
global economical, financial, ecological and humanitarian situation.
Besides his roles in different companies and organizations as initiator,
founder, chairman, business angel and investor and his work as life-(psychology)
coach, he is also: inventor, author and painter.

Ancestry – the Giovanelli Family:
The Giovanellis, and specifically the ‚von Giovanelli zu Gerstburg and Hörtenberg’, are one of the world’s oldest noble lineages.
The extended Giovanelli family originally hails from Lombardy (Northern Italy) and over the course of history they spread northward throughout the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, and settled mostly in South Tyrol (Italy), Grisons (Switzerland) and in Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Carinthia, Styria and Vienna (Austria),
as well as in the USA.
The first mention made of the widely spread noble lineage, of which the lineages of the baron, count and duke von Giovanelli belong, dates back to the 13th century. Towards the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century (towards the end of Austro-Hungarian monarchy) numerous family members possessed noble honorable ranks in society.
Some of the most reputable members of the family were, among others:
Ludovico Cardinal Flangini Giovanelli (1733 – 1804)
Cardinal of San Marco and patriarch of Venice; Joseph, Freiherr von Giovanelli zu Gerstburg und Hörtenberg (1784-1845),
statesman, who organized the national defense with Andreas Hofer in 1809, among others;
Ignaz, Freiherr von Giovanelli zu Gerstburg und Hörtenberg (1815 – 1889) several terms as
conservative Councilman to the Realm between 1867 and 1889,
and
Karl, Freiherr von Giovanelli zu Gerstburg und Hörtenberg (1847 – 1922),
Austrian Agricultural Minister from 1900 – 1904.
Life:
Mario Eduard Giovanelli was born on January 20, 1956 in Lucerne (Switzerland) and moved to Austria with his family at the tender age of six months. Due to his father, Eduard’s nationality, Mario Eduard Giovanelli is an Austrian citizen by birth. He spent his childhood and early adolescence in beautiful Styria
(Austria), which is also called “The green heart of Austria” (only about 15 miles
away and at the same time as the former actor and todays
Californian governor, honorable Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger).
Since 1984 he is working internationally in the areas of joint venture and leveraged buyout in almost the whole world. He founded, took over, managed and/or resold more than 50 companies in the USA, Central America, the Caribbean, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and the Ukraine in industries such as marketing, trade, finance, media and data processing.
Mario E. Giovanelli is an innovative, especially just and above all creative lateral thinker. He is adamant and determined in implementing his endeavors, especially if these are serving the general public and correspond to the win-win principle. Considering these characteristics, his roots, his extensive economic experience gained all over the world, it is not surprising, that he has been engaging in
alternative, new and environmental as well as humanitarian topics intensely since 2000, and –
above all – searching for realizable and advantageous solutions to avoid the “global collapse”.

Career as a joint venture and leveraged buyout entrepreneur:
At the age of 28 Mario Eduard Giovanelli already started up his first business with the help of an angel investor (financed SFR 100,000). Six months later a second business followed, and just another six months later Mario Eduard Giovanelli was a multi-millionaire (US$).
A re-orientation and involvement in the international venture capital business and several leveraged buyouts followed.
In these branches numerous establishments and takeovers of businesses were initiated, in countries such as Switzerland, Spain, the USA, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, the Ukraine and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Part of this was the establishment and/or the takeover, management and selling of media publishing houses, private TV, data management, marketing, gastronomy, hotel businesses and many others.
Particular highlights were, among others, the establishment of the first private bank in the Ukraine in 1992 (after the fall of the USSR, at a time when there was no definite constitution, no stock corporation and/or corporate law and no real cash money, just ‘Kupons’), as well as the development, establishment and implementation of one of the first Internet casinos with real time gaming (as early as 1997).
Activities in connection with environmental protection, humanitarianism and peace:
Since the year 2000 Mario Eduard Giovanelli has been engaging also in
environmental protection and humanitarianism and he has developed several sensational and easily realizable solutions, that would profit the industry, trade and consumers, to avert our planet’s problems, and, above all, the ‘global collapse’.
Mario Eduard Giovanelli is neither a simple activist nor a mere talker!
To reach the goal of averting the ‘global collapse’ and the ‘point of no return’ efficiently and, above all, in due time, he is offering solutions that can be of avail for consumers as well as entrepreneurs.
After it is absolutely clear that immediate action is needed to effect something
sustainable and globally effective, the question or task regarding the resulting concept is very simple:
If we have to do something and put an end to this horrific scenario, but we don‘t want any
restrictions; then what can we do?
The answer is just as simple as it is evident!
A solution has to be found for problems, which doesn't require any
restrictions; there is even a possibility of a profit as an incentive to all involved parties.
Since all the problems of our planet are explicitly due to the current
market and economic organisation (from the utilization of raw materials throughout the production, packing, transport, and up to the sale of the final product and the resulting waste) and result solely from our consumer behavior,
we can only fix these problems through the market. The market is the sole factor defining what, when, where, from what and how something will be produced, how far and by what means of transport this product will be carried and how it will be packaged – and we want to, and have the ability to affect this!
If someone shows the people a way to keep our earth beautiful and livable, particularly for our children and grandchildren (or to return to those ways), to create optimal human and social conditions worldwide, and to simultaneously return to an ecological balance, in which the people
don't have to face restrictions, but to attain profits instead, then they will work through and – for short or long term – pursue this way (even if initially they are only interested in making a profit).
It is exactly this that Mario Eduard Giovanelli and his initiatives work for.
Giovanelli the author:
Mario Eduard Giovanelli has written two books so far, which are not available in stores, but merely through his seminars and/or his initiatives.
In the year 2002 he wrote and published an economic, social and political analysis and the respective dangerous future tendencies in a book called: “Your future introduces itself”.
One part of the book dealt with unemployment and forecast an increase in the German-speaking countries of Europe until 2005. Some critics believed
his figures to be too high. In fact, the unemployment rate predicted for Germany at the end of 2003 was already exceeded in January, 11 months earlier. The statements were anything but exaggerated, but in retrospect rather too cautious.
Furthermore, it was predicted that by 2005 China would consume a major percent-age of the world’s crude oil production. So called experts and other academical 'know-it-alls' even snickered at this. The fact is, that meanwhile China is not only one of the world’s major oil consumers, it also uses much more than half the world’s ore production for its development boom. In this point as well
his calculations proved correct.
Last but not least, people couldn’t imagine his assertions with respect to fuel prices in Europe. As we now know, drivers in some European countries are paying, exactly as Mario Eduard Giovanelli then predicted, at least 1.30 euros per liter. Even here he proved his point.
This book and its prognoses, some of which have already materialized, were only relevant up to the year 2005. For this reason the book is no longer being offered
On November 30, 2006 Mario Eduard Giovanelli presented his second book, “you should SURVIVE – react now” at the University for University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna.
This book containing about 400 pages describes the frightening facts about the current state of our planet and relentlessly forces us to face them head-on.
The good news is that the book also includes the solutions Mario Eduard Giovanelli developed, which not only show, that
together we are still able to change our planet’s problems for the better, but also demonstrates the economic and financial possibilities for individuals, businesses and governments.
Due to additions and insertions, particularly in the topic of lucrative possibilities (2007), and to present the book’s content in a more positive manner, the book was re-titled in its second edition: ‘ECO-MILLIONAIRES wanted! – The winners’ Bible’.
